About evaluations: Bright Light Language offers comprehensive communication evaluations using standardized assessments and measures. Standardized measures are structured tests that produce a standard score which can be compared to children the same age as your child. This gives the therapist a good idea of your child’s current communication strengths and areas for improvement.
Standardized measures are not always appropriate for every student. Following consultation or during evaluation, the therapist may use professional judgement to adjust the evaluation plan to include a criterion-referenced measure (similar to a checklist for skills and behaviors) or professional observations. These decisions will be communicated to you and explained in the evaluation report.
How long will it take?: Evaluations can vary in length, but are usually between 1-3 hours depending on the age of the client and caregiver concerns. Please contact the therapist for a more specific estimate.

Preschool language-only evaluation: $390
Preschool speech-only evaluation: $325
Preschool comprehensive evaluation: $600
School-age language-only evaluation: $450
School-age speech-only evaluation: $325
School-age comprehensive evaluation: $650
