What ages do you serve?
Speech/language therapy services and evaluations are available for pediatric clients (0-17). However, for older clients with more severe needs, some services may be available. Please contact the therapist if you have an older student who is in need of therapy or an evaluation.

Is Bright Light Language neurodiversity affirming?
Yes! It is the mission of Bright Light Language to support the needs of each individual while celebrating their strengths!
Many diagnoses can bring challenges that make communication, education, and daily care tasks difficult. Therapy here will never focus on suppressing harmless stimming, denying special interests, or ignoring alternative communication methods. Therapy will always focus on teaching the skills that clients need to find their joy!
-
What populations or diagnoses do you work with?
Maggie has years of clinical experience with pediatric clients spanning a wide range of diagnoses and support needs. However, her primary areas of experience include autism, developmental language disorder, intellectual disability, and early intervention/preschool age therapy.
-
Does my student need a diagnosis to be seen?
No, it is not required for students to have a formal diagnosis to be seen for services at Bright Light Language.
After discussing communication/reading concerns during consultation, an initial session will be conducted to build trust with the student and gather observational data to set therapy goals.
Families are under no obligation to receive speech and language services following a formal evaluation from Bright Light Language, but if they choose to do so, therapy goals will be discussed following the evaluation.
